Hazel was born on Sept. 3, 1925 in Gerty Oklahoma to Joseph Herrod and Pearlie Dove Watson. She is preceded in Death by her husband of 49 years, Earl Lung. Daughters: Linda Kay Lung, Brenda Lee McDowell, and Deawanna Jean Stillwagon.
Hazel was known as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She has been a resident of Lake Isabella Squirrel Valley for 35 years. She and her husband Earl retired here in 1973 from the Los Angeles area and for a while owned and operated a Radio Shack Franchise on Lake Isabella Blvd. known as Valley Sound Center. Hazel loved her family and cherished each and every one of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She was known for her many Photos and Brag Books of the entire family. Her favorite season was fall and she loved Thanksgiving the best. She said Thanksgiving was her favorite Holiday because her family would all gather together in celebration. She is survived by her two sons Dean and Steve Lung. Grandchildren Jeffery Lung and wife Beth, Brian Lung and wife Lisa, Kelly Finley, Tina Chinzi and husband Lenny, Deanna De La Paz and husband Arnold and Kelsey Eddings. Great Grandchildren Brenda, Matthew, Chelsey, Christopher, Tyler, Alyssa, Ashley, Leanna, Jonathan, Kaden, Austin, Jack, Logan, Taylor and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends. She will be missed by all.
The family would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone at the Kern Valley Skilled Nursing Facility in Mt. Mesa and Hoffmann Hospice Care. Your skilled, thoughtful and compassionate care for our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother means the world to us. We appreciate all you did to give her the dignity she deserved with the best quality of life possible in a clean, friendly and loving environment. Thank you for your service to us and this entire community.
Services for Hazel will be held at the Sierra Mortuary on Lake Isabella Blvd on Dec. 6, 2008 at 11:00am. All are welcome in celebrating her life.
