Mildred Strock was born in St. George, a daughter of the late Arthur David Traxler and the late Mazie Rebecca Shuler Traxler. She was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church and a member of the Elloree Golden Age Club. She retired as a housemother at Epworth Childrens Home in Columbia.
Survivors include four sons, Arthur Jr. and Elaine Strock of Santee, Allen and Hazelteen Strock of Elloree, Bobby and Ann Strock of Hope Mill, N.C. and Malcolm and Audrey Strock of Santee; one daughter, Margie S. Laurence of Lancaster, California; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Gene Traxler of Lucoma, N.C.
