Funeral services were held for William E "Bill" Lambert, 81, of Lucedale, June 5, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. from Sigler Funeral Home Chapel.
A member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday school teacher and deacon for more than 50 years, he died June 2 at George County Hospital.
He is survived by is wife, Hazel Lambert of Lucedale; five children, Pat (David) Fuentes of Moss Point, Bobbie (Eddie) Hunt of Hurley, Judy (Bobby) Whitsett of Satsuma, Ala., JoAnn Lambert and Jan (Tim) Holland, both of Lucedale; seven grandchildren, Eb Scott Hunt of Gautier, Chad Hunt of Hurley, Robby Whitsett of Satsuma, Ala., Brian Whitsett of Virginia Beach, VA., Kristy Whitsett of Orange beach, Ala., Heather Fallon and Candice Thomley, both of Lucedale and four great grandchildren, Madison Hunt of Vancleave, Micah Hunt of Gautier, Noah Whitsett of Ashburn, Ga., and Garrett Fallon of Lucedale.
He is also survived by three brothers, Orbie Lee Lambert of Frisco City, Ala., Charles Lambert of Monroeville, Ala. and Earl Lambert of Coca Beach, Fla. and a sister, Lois Knight of California.
Interment was held at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Billy Evans and John Cook officiating the services.
