Mr. Bennie Mack Morgan, age 75 of Kennard, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 in the Hospice in the Pines, Inpatient Unit at Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin. Mr. Morgan was born January 24, 1933 in Midway, Texas and had lived most of his lifetime in Kennard. Mr. Morgan was a veteran of the United State Marine Corps having served during the Korean Conflict from 1950 until 1953. Mr. Morgan was retired having worked and had worked truck driver.
Survivors include his children Michael Morgan and wife Valerie, of Lufkin, Bennie Leon Morgan and wife Nadie, of Olla, La., Renee Rodriguez and husband Pablo, of Crockett, Diane Munsinger, of Austin; grandchildren Brandon Morgan, Emily Morgan, Josh Whitney, Gary Whitney, Katrina Perez, Jessica Morales, David Munsinger, Michael Cecil Espinoza; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Billie Spinks, of Palestine and Madelle Strange, of Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by his granddaughter Tammy Vega; sisters Anna Laura Turman, Rosie Ashworth; brother Curtis Morgan; and sister Syble Starling.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bennie Mack Morgan were held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Clayton McClendon officiating. Interment followed in the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery.
