THREE BROTHERS DROWNED AS CAR PLUNGES INTO CREEK
Leslie, Clarence and Roley Acreman, brothers, were drowned Sunday night when the car in which they were riding plunged into Persimmon Creek, a stream east of Georgiana on the controversial Georgiana,-Brnatley Highway.
A fourth occupant, Marshall Eady, escaped death narrowly and was not able to walk for help, was discovered by some men hunting Monday morning.
The car was moving along the road and the occupants were not warned of the danger by any signs, lights or barricade but rather plunged to the death of three without any previous warning.
Bridges were to have been built on this road according to a previous contract but stopped before construction began.
Funeral services for the three brothers were held yesterday afternoon and burial was in the Sellers grave yard.
This newspaper write up was sent to me by Donald W. Acreman of Warner Robins, Ga 31093 -- Donald says they wer his first cousins. He stated the car turned over in the creek and all three were drowned.
