OBITUARY: Beaver Dam Argus, November 26, 1914, page 5.
DIED - AUKOFER - At his home on South Spring street in this city at one o'clock Monday afternoon, November 23d, 1914, Mr. John Aukofer, aged 59 years, 3 months and 2 days.

The deceased was a son of Jacob and Mary Aukofer and was born in this city on August 21st, 1855, and had spent the whole of his life in this city or immediate vicinity. On May 10, 1869 [???], he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Beers of this city and for a time they made their home on a farm in the town of Beaver Dam, moving to this city about fifteen years ago.

Two children, a son and a daughter, were born to them, both having preceded their father to death. He is survived by his widow, one grand son and three sisters. The sisters are Mrs. Frank Karl of this city and Mrs. Anton Bohl and Mrs. Albert Hammer, both of the town of Beaver Dam.

Funeral services were held at St. Peter's church yesterday morning at nine o'clock, with burial in St. Peter's cemetery. Rev. Geo. J. Muenzer officiated.
