Donna Kay Franks, 62, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2008.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 8, 2008, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Wolfforth, Texas followed by the Graveside Service at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family invites friends to visit Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m.
Donna was born June 20, 1946, in Hamilton, Texas to the late Dr. O.R. and Pauline (Fergusson) Douglas. She married Dr. Darrell Franks August 10, 1968, in Brownfield, Texas.
Donna was called to teach, mentor, and love. Her gifts of giving, joy, and laughter will be remembered forever by all she touched. She loved our Lord and lived by Psalm 118:24, "This is the day which the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Dr. Darrell Franks of Lubbock, Texas; son, Todd Franks of Lubbock, Texas; daughter, Mitzi Lauderdale and husband Lee of Lubbock, Texas; brother, Dr. Randal Douglas and wife Susan of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Phyllis Douglas Thurber and husband Ted of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Bruce Douglas and wife, Patti of Orlando, Fla.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand-nephews; and one granddaughter on the way, Brylee Kay Lauderdale.
