Dwight W. "Barney" Barnett, age 60, of Brumley, died Sunday, October 12, at his home. He was born on January 1, 1948, in Iberia, son of Wayne and Jean (Grosvenor) Barnett. His parents survive in Iberia. On February 10, 1967, in Crocker, he was married to Karen Kay Luttrell, who survives at the home.
He was an Army veteran of Vietnam. He worked for the past 13 years at Meeks Lumber in Osage Beach. He had previously owned and operated Barnett Construction for many years. He was a member of the Iberia First Christian Church.

Other survivors include two daughters, Angie Luttrell and husband Harold of Brumley and Sarah Bashore and husband Brad of Jefferson City; one son, David Barnett and wife Kelly of Brumley; five grandchildren, Dalton Luttrell, Brady Luttrell, Dylan Barnett, Ty Barnett, and Sophia Bashore; one brother, Dale Barnett and wife Debbie of Dixon; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Stan Way will officiate. Interment with military honors under the direction of the Iberia VFW Post 6167 and American Legion Post 105 will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
