Miss Gail A. Burns, 30, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Springfield, died Thursday at her residence.
Born on Aug. 12, 1956 in Glendale, Calif., Miss Burns was the daughter of Richard and Mildred Munson Burns. A registered nurse since 1981, Miss Burns formerly was employed at St. John's Hospital, Humana Hospital Springfield and presently was a nurse at the Crawford-Long Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
She was a lifelong member of Episcopal Church. She received her two associate degrees from Lincoln Land Community College and received her nursing degree in 1981. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard D. Burns of Springfield; one brother, Matt Burns of Springfield; one sister, Peggy Burns of Spirngfield; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Munson of Omaha, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Arlon Spangler of South Sioux City, Neb.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Requiem mass will be at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, with the Very Rev. Richard Pugliese officiating. Burial will be in Stout Cemetery.
