Dick was my Grandpa. He was mowing his Dad's yard when his heart attack began and as he was alone at the time, he drove himself to the hospital, probably not thinking it was so serious.

Grandpa served as Business Agent for Local No. 47 of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades and held that office at the time of his death.

Richard "Dick" E., Warfield, Jr. 63, Indianapolis, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003. He was a Painter with Reese Rebholtz Co. for 40 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and Painters Union Local #47. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28 in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with calling from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at Conkle Funeral Home, Lynhurst Chapel. Entombment: Floral Park Cemetery.

Survivors: wife, Betty S. (Laird) Warfield; daughters, Loraine Rork and Mary Vitaver; sons, Richard Earl warfield III , John and Carl Warfield; parents, Ruth E. and Richard E. Warfield, Sr.; sister, Elaine June King; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren."
