Linda A. (Blogoslawski) Mlynar- czyk, 38, of New Britain, passed away Friday (March 6, 1998). She was born in New Britain, and was a lifetime resident. She attended local schools, was a valedictorian graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1978, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairfield University in 1982, and received her Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1982. Linda served as an Alderwoman in New Britain from 1989 to 1993, when she was elected the first woman mayor in 1993 and served one term until 1995. She was a member of the League of Women Voters, served on the Board of the Hospital for Special Care, and was a member of various other civic organizations. She is survived by her husband, Atty. Peter C. Mlynarczyk; her mother, Patricia Hoerle of New Britain; her father, Walter D. Blogoslawski of Vero Beach, FL; and two sisters, Brenda Sullivan of Springs, LI, NY, and Cheryl Blogoslawski of New Britain. She is also survived by an aunt, Barbara (Blogoslawski) Massa of Gilford; an uncle and his wife, Cadwell and Margit Hoerle of Plainville; an aunt and her husband, Martha and Kenneth Soule of Albany, NY; and several cousins. The Rite of Committal will be Tuesday, March 10, 9:15 a.m., at the New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, with the Funeral Liturgy, 10 a.m., at the Holy Cross Church, Farmington Avenue, New Britain. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Monday, March 9, 2-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
