Lavelle Whigham Kimbrel, 91, of Panama City, FL passed away on Sunday October 15, 2017.

She was born on September 19, 1926 in Cairo, GA to Walter Andrew and Mary Lou Whigham. She was a retired bookkeeper for PM&S and O.K. Radiator. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church since 1943 and was a part of the Joyful Servants Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kenneth (E.K.) Kimbrel; and her son, Earl Kenneth Kimbrel Jr.; brothers, Eldron Whigham, Lawson Whigham, Virgil Whigham, Robert Judson, Elvet Gerald Whigham; sisters, Millie Kelly, Lavonia Harris, Clara Lou Maddox, Gertrude Grace Giddings.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Melani Harder (Josh), Melissa James (Hardy), Marian Kimbrel; six great grandchildren, Mallary Shepherd, Stefan Shepherd, Brannan Shepherd, E.K. Smith, Forrest James, Kirkland James; great-great grandson, Silas Shepherd; sister, Geraldine
Sheffield and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 19, 2017 at 10 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
