Rosa Mae Henderson, 80, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Glennville, GA, and lived in Panama City for the last 35 years. She worked many years as a seamstress, and loved her roses and gardening. She was a long-member of Central Baptist Church, where she attended the Ladies' Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Henderson, a son, Larry Hand, and a grandson, James Groover.Survivors include her children, Jackie Polcaro (Stephen) of Bartow, FL, Rosemary Ogden (Chuck) of Lynn Haven, Joanne Stalvey (Roger, Sr.) of Ft. Meade, FL, David Hand of Jesup, Ga and Glenn Hand (Phyllis) of Youngstown; a brother, Alford Groover of Jesup, GA; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Edwards and Dr. Bruce Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, March 8, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Henderson's name may be made to Covenant Hospice.
