Anna (Horn) Gregg
1907-2011

Anna Horn Gregg was the first born to her German Immigrant parents David and Amalia (Molly) Horn. She grew up in Fresno, Calif., and married Ralph W. Gregg in 1931. Anna and Ralph were blessed with two daughters, Patricia Ann and later in their marriage, Carole Susan. Throughout their marriage, Anna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a wonderful homemaker, skilled gardener and a marvelous cook. Her home always was open to her family and friends. She loved her home and always made it a warm and inviting place to visit. Anna was a very friendly, warm person with a wonderful sense of humor. In 1979, Ralph and Anna moved to Florida to be close to her daughter, Patricia, and her husband, Donald.

Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph W. Gregg, who died in 1980; her dear grandson, John C. Rayner, who died in 1992; her cherished youngest daughter, Carole S. Gregg, who died in 1995 and her devoted son-in-law, Donald E. Rayner, who died in 2002.

Following the deaths of their husbands, Anna lived with her daughter, Patricia. They shared many happy years supporting one another and enjoying happy times surrounded by family and friends. Anna lived for a short time at Lisenby Retirement Home, where she formed many close friendships.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gregg Rayner; her dearly loved niece, Delores Mlagenovich, and her husband, William, of Laguna Hills, Calif.; her beloved niece, June Mowles, of Porterville, Calif.; her loving grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. David I. Rayner of Ketchikan, Ark., Mr. and Mrs. Michael R. Everly of Palm Bay, Fla., Laura R. Everly of Sebastian, Fla., James D. Rayner and his partner, Kevin J. Burns, of Media, Pa., Deborah Rayner Gajewski of Panama City, Fla., and Robert Witt and Stephen Witt of Raleigh, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Cook, Kristin Rayner, John Campbell, Mary Campbell and Donald C. Rayner; three great-great-grandchildren; and many loved nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Pastor Danny Koyn officiating.

Anna leaves us all with many loving memories that have enriched our lives. Her perseverance and positive outlook toward life encouraged our futures with her calm support and love, and will live on in our hearts. We shall all miss her very much.
