Delphia Price, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, age 80 of Pensacola, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008. Delphia retired from Monsanto after 30 years of service. She loved and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially while on the beach. She had a "green thumb" and enjoyed gardening, as well as square dancing with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon C. Price; son, Vincent Price; sisters, Zeable Harr, & Inis Sage; brothers, Cosel Flanery & Hagy Flanery.
Survivors include her daughter, Verna Price; five grandchildren, Doug Price, Kristi Smith (Johnell), Deisha Carsner (James), Shawna Kendrick (Adam), and Lauren Lintz; eight great grandchildren, Brittany Price, Dylan Shipman, Hunter Kinnard, James, Josef, and Elizabeth Carsner, Dakota Smith, and Hailey Price; very special and dear friend, Richard Santos.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 06, 2008 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME SOUTH, 100 Beverly Pkwy with Pastor Jeff Howard officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Services to be held in Kingsport, TN next week and burial to follow in East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN.
