Mr. Cleavander Trotter, 93, of Winona, died of congestive heart failure Sept. 30, 2000 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. He was a retired butcher at Winona Packing Company.

He was a native of Montgomery County and a member of Young's Chapel Baptist Church in Montgomery County and a member of Masonic Lodge Number 28.

Funeral services were held Oct. 4 at Ed Roberts Chapel of Remembrance in Winona. Burial was at Old Grocer's Cemetery in Montgomery County with Rev. Shelmon Parker officiating.

Mr. Trotter is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bettye Small-Trotter of Winona; four stepsons. Warren Small Jr. of Rolling Fork, Bernard Small of Denver, Colo., Oscar Mason of Memphis, Tenn., John Glen of St. Charles, Mo.; four stepdaughters, Florence Mason of Memphis, Tenn., Bettye Glen of St. Charles, Mo., Joyce Small of Rolling Fork, Gladys Small of Denver, Colo.; eight step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren.

Roberts & Sons Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
