Glena Marie Nield Frome Dunn Roberts died Oct 15, 1992 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center, St. George UT of a massive stroke she suffered on Oct 8, 1992 from which she never regained consciousness.
Funeral services were held Oct 19, 1992 at the Afton 4th Ward Chapel.
She was born Oct 29, 1910 at Afton to John W. Nield and Eva Claudia Allred in a four-room rustic house one mile west of Afton on Nield avenue. She was the sixth child of a family of 10 children. Four sister and five brothers preceded her in death.
She married George F. Frome on March 14, 1929 in a double ring ceremony with his brother Lionel and Louise Child at their parents home. This marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Oct 22, 1962. They had two children Jay N. Frome and Connie Frome Merritt.
After her children were married, she traveled the state of Wyoming with her husband George while working for the Wyoming Game and Fish Dept. She loved traveling and meeting people. George died June 8, 1968.
On June 23, 1972 she married Seth Harvey Dunn in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Seth and Glena served on a full time mission to the Fort Lauderdale Florida Mission for 18 months. After their return they were called as officiators in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple where they served for two years. She dearly loved this calling.
Seth died Jan 31, 1984. Glena then married Arthur Roberts in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple. They spent their winters in St. George where they enjoyed the warm weather and many valley friends.
Glena was an active member of the LDS Church where she served in many positions. She worked at Gephart Store for Dee Meldrum and also at the Star Valley State Bank. She loved meeting people and was a very happy and pleasant person. She was a very dependable and hard working person.
As her eyes failed her, she was unable to do the many things she loved doing, but she never complained or felt sorry for herself. She was always more concerned about the needs of others and her family members. she loved her children and grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments.
She is survived by her husband Arthur Roberts, St. George UT; daughter Connie Frome Merritt Thayne; son Jay N. Frome, Placentia CA; two stepsons Bruce Roberts, St. George UT and Vernon Dunn Bluffdale, UT; stepdaughters Marie Roberts Wilkes, Afton and Carolyn Roberts Robinson, Ogden UT
