JANE G. HATFIELD

SOUTH BEND - Jane Hatfield, 93, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2,
2008, at 4:30 p.m. in Catherine Kasper Home, Donaldson, IN. Jane was
born on June 18, 1915, in South Bend, to the late Charles J. and Ethel
(Toth) DeVleeschower. In 1931 she married Donald A. Hatfield in the
Cathedral of St. Matthew, South Bend. He preceded her in death. She
was also preceded in death by her son, Robert E.; her grandson,
Gregory; and by her brother, Charles DeVleeschower. She is survived
by her son, Charles T. (Janet) of South Bend; nine grandchildren, Susan, Donald,
John, Patty, Jim, Douglas, Stacy, Todd and Blair; 12 great-grandchildren; and by her
daughter-in-law, Judith Ann Hatfield. Jane loved antiques, was a super cook and a
great housekeeper. She was a lifelong parishioner at St. Jude Catholic Church. The
family would like to give a Special Thank You to the staff at Catherine Kasper Home,
especially the staff of the Memory Unit. Family and friends may gather at St. Jude
Catholic Church on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian
Burial will begin at 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Road, is assisting the family. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, P.O. Box 1,
Donaldson, IN 46513. For those who are unable to attend the funeral liturgy,
condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net .
