Helen E. Ausenbaum of Oakland, California, formerly of Grant Park, died June 17, 2006. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Union Corners Cemetery, Grant Park. Rev Ronald Gustine will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Child Center, 4368 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland, California. Hub Funeral Chapel, Grant Park, is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Ausenbaum was a psychologist in the Oakland Public Schools for 25 years (1951-1976). She was a native of Chicago. She was an alumnus of the University of California and the University of Illinois. She was a member of the National Association of Social Workers, California Teachers Association, the Oakland Education Association, the California Association of School Social Workers, and the California Association of School Administrators.

Surviving are one sister, Frances Lindquist of Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina; special friend, Zelma E. Parker of Orinda, California; and nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her parents, Herbert N. and Mayme E. Ausenbaum; and one brother, William R. Ausenbaum.
