She married James Homer Knapp on the 10 May 1949, in Butte, Silverbow, Montana.
From this union one son was born, James G. Knapp, and five daughters, Theresa, De Ette, Bertha, Robin and Martha.
Anita was a housewife and mother first, but she also worked as a waitress and as a nurses aide. She loved her family very much and loved all their family outings and family times spent together.
Anita Loved camping, fishing, hunting and she especially loved to go snowmobling.
Anita and Jim lived in Montana, Idaho, Arizona, Washington and Wyoming.
Anita retired to their home in Dillon,Montana from Arizona to get it ready for when Jim was planning to retire in 1988.
Jim passed away in 1996 and Anita followed him a year later.
