Linda Lou Ritter, 61, of Evansdale, formerly of Oelwein, died Friday, Nov. 28, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo, after a brief illness.

She was born July 5, 1947, in Oelwein, daughter of LaVerne "Bud" and Marge "Maggie" Hennek Ritter.

She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1966. She moved to Evansdale in 1968 where she operated a daycare from her home for many years.

Survived by: three brothers, James (Judy) Ritter of Cedar Falls, William (Carol) Ritter of Waterloo and Allen Ritter of Evansdale; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by: her parents.

Graveside memorial services: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, with the Rev. Harry Koelker officiating. There will be no visitation. Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, is assisting the family with arrangements.

She enjoyed bingo, casinos, fishing and spending time with children, her family and her friends.
