Born: Johann Georg Schuchmann:

"George Schuchman was born in Germany Hessa Darmstad in the year 1823 emigrated to the United State with his father and mother in the year 1830. Landed at Baltimore Maryland from thence to Carlisle Pa from thence to Pittsburg, Pa. from thence to Illinois from Illinois to Missouri in 1849 in the year 1853 I went to California in the fall of 56 returned to Missouri to my family. Lost by Death my first wife on March 24, 1881 and married Neta Louiza Taylor in August 5, 1883. She was born in Cannada September 20, 1885.

George Schuchman farmed northeast of Maysville, DeKalb County, Missouri. On March 31, 1966, the Hopewell Baptist Church was organized in George Schuchman's farm home in Dallas township. George and Cynthia Schuchman were two of eight people who were charter members.
