In letters written by her father to a cousin Rueben Lynch of Stockbridge.
1861"two of my sons are in California Edward and Lewis in Nevada City.
George and Henry live near us. Lucinda is a teacher summer goes to school in winter."
April 19, 1872 "my youngest daughter and her husband are to visit NY.
Lucinda was born near here in the year forty. No family, very thick and fleshy.
Her husband is a large bony man. He gets large wages on RR."
December 5, 1875 "My wife's son and wife are here with us at present. Unwell Crops large on small farm. Son Henry treasure of Monroe County. Son Lewis gone to Texas. Son George large farm. Son Edward has his money at interest. Lucindey's husband was killed on the Railroad. He was in charge of their employee's. She keeper a large boarding house and making money the road company gave her 40 cords of wood she owns a house and lot in the city and money at interest."
Lucinda's first husband was Joseph Hurd, they were married in 1866. He was killed on the railroad. She married William E. Preston 1879. She moved to Saginaw after her marriage to Wm. Preston and died there.
