Margaret A. Bonde, age 93, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died on
Thursday afternoon, Nov. 27, 2008, at the home.
Margaret was born on Feb. 11, 1915, in the town of Newton, daughter of the late
Theodore and Genevieve (Baugniet) Bonde Sr.
She was a graduate of Woodland Public School in School Hill.
Margaret was employed at the Salvatorian Publishing Department, St. Nazianz,
prior to being employed for 28 years as a senior clerk in radiology at St.
Mary's Hospital in Madison, retiring in 1973.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 659, and the Christian Women of Holy
Trinity Catholic Church of School Hill. Margaret enjoyed playing Sheepshead.
Survivors include three sisters: Loretta Koenig; Frances Hutchison; Marion Lenz;
four brothers Theodore & Virginette Bonde, Jr; Alex & Rita Bonde; Donald & Margie
Bonde; and Roman & Betty Bonde.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers-in-law: Irene and
Al Stein; Rosie Bonde; infant sister, Marcella; Elmer Koenig; Wilbert Hutchison;
and Robert Lenz; four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Norbert and Marie Bonde,
Bernard Bonde, Odila and Polly Bonde, and Frederick and Katie Bonde.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Holy Trinity
Catholic Church, School Hill. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be
the Rev. Michael Bigley, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Holy Trinity
Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.
A memorial has been established in her name.
The Pfeffer funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the
family with funeral arrangements.
Margaret was a loving and caring sister. Being the oldest sister, she was responsible
for helping Dad raise the entire family after Mother died. We will always remember
and miss her.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff of St. Mary's Home for the 15 years of
compassionate care given to Margaret.
