OBITUARIES
FRED R. CARR
Fred Robert Carr was born Sept. 20, 1902, at the ranch home of Daniel M. and Mary Elizasbeth Lilly Hattabaugh Carr and died Jan. 24, 1981, at Ainsworth, Nebraska.
When Fred was nine months of age, the family moved to a small town near Craigmont, Idaho. Three years later the family returned to Keya Paha County where Fred spent the remaineder of his life.
He was married to Lucile Boshart at Winner, S. D. March 23, 1929, and to them two sons were born, Fred and Lucile celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, May 13, 1979. They farmed and ranched the past fifty years at their present home northwest of Springview. His greatest interests included his family, the ranch, and visiting with his relatives and friends. One of his favorite pleasures was spending tim at the Senior Center.
Like falling leaves, the years slip by; but Love and Memories never die. Silent thoughts, silent tears, keep the memory ever near.
He is survived by his wife, Lucile; two sons, John and Jum; two grandchildren, J. D. and Jan; two brothers, Frank M., Ainsworth and Jesse A., Springvie; his sister, Florence, Ainsworth and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Goldie; and brothers, Floyd and Leonard.
Services were held Jan. 27 at the Springview Auitorium with the REV. Charles Bailey officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Norman Nelson, Organist; and vocalists, Norman Nelson, Ceile Ripley and Howar Carr.
Pallbearers were Burdette Carr, Dan Carr, Darrell Carr, Jack Carr, Chester Nelson and Ken Larsen. Honorary bearers were Merlon Boyd, Jack Reinoehl, Jack Roark, Al Vohr, Bob Tuttle, Glen Schrantz. Ern Larsen, Glen Hallock and Paul Gierau II.
Interment was in Mounty Hope Cemetery, Springview.
