Betty M. Hamilton, 77, of Lititz, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Coalport, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Vida (Brown) Beers. She was the wife of Al Hamilton with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage this past July 28.

Betty served God with her whole heart and was a witness of His great love to everyone she met. Her highest calling was supporting her husband in all of his endeavors and raising her family. She ministered in many different capacities in the churches she attended through the years. Her generosity and compassion touched lives around the world. She was a good and faithful servant.

Surviving in addition to her husband Al are a son, Tim Hamilton husband of Marcia of Manheim; 3 daughters, Coleen Clark wife of Daniel of Manheim, Gayle Gearhart wife of Chip of Lititz, and Carolyn Hindy wife of Gerry of Springfield, MO; 10 grandchildren, Beth Clark-Byers wife of Ray Byers, Curtis Clark husband of Jessica, Brenda Gearhart-Sipel wife of Chris, Adam Gearhart husband of Courtney, Joshua Hamilton husband of Allyson, Julie Hamilton Weidman wife of Matt, Leah Hindy, Lydia Hindy, Gabriela Hindy, and Chloe Hindy; 9 great grandchildren, Paige Byers, Lyndsey Byers, Garrett Clark, Peyton Clark, Lily Sipel, Charlie Sipel, Bode Sipel, Hannah Gearhart, and Luke Weidman; a brother, Vertin Beers; and 3 sisters, Grace Shomo, Norma Helsel, and Patricia Skebeck.

She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Aldean Gearhart and Joel Hamilton; a brother, William; and 3 sisters, Louise, Mabel, and Lela.

Funeral Services in Lancaster will be held Friday, December 5, 2008 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 190 Fulling Mill Rd., Middletown, PA 17507 at 12 p.m. with Rev. J. Clayton Sheridan and Rev. Paul J. Wislocky officiating. Friends and Family will be received Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Glad Tidings from 6-9 p.m. and again on Friday at the church from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Funeral Services in Clearfield will be held Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 6449 Clearfield/Woodland Hwy., Clearfield, PA 16830 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. J. Clayton Sheridan and Rev. Paul J. Wislocky officiating. Family and Friends will be received before the service at Glad Tidings from 10:30 a.m-12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
