Leslie Ray Hudson was born in Mt. Juliet, Tenn on 13 March 1913, to Leslie William Hudson and Ella Louise Hancock Hudson. Leslie had a sister Ruth, a twin brother, Robert Lee, and two other brothers, William Glenn and David Lipscomb.
Leslie's father William was dying from Tuberculosis and knew that he did not have much time to live. . His mother was in a hospital unable to care for her 5 children. His father William was looking to place his children in homes of someone to care for them My grandfather and grandmother raised David as one of their own. William Glenn went to a distant cousin, Sara Glenn Sewell and her husband Ranse.. Ruth went with William's sister to Chicago. Twins Leslie and Robert went to a couple in West Tennessee. (That is what I was told) Possibly James and Delia Sykes. Leslie is in their home in Benton CO. TN, in 1930smf 1940.
