Nancy Jane (Eoff) Vinson was the daughter of Alexander Eoff and his cousin, Jane Eoff, natives of Tennessee. Nancy was the ninth of ten children. Her siblings were: Margaret A (Eoff) Nichols, Sela Azubah "Zuby" (Eoff) Henry, John J Eoff, Lucy Cynthia (Eoff) Parrish, Samuel M Eoff, William I H Eoff, (d.y.), William J Eoff (d.y.), Mary Eoff and Isaac Eoff (d.y.). Nancy was raised on her parent's farms in Newton and Stone counties, Arkansas.
Nancy married Obadiah Vinson, the son of Samuel Ross Vinson and Lucinda Kendrick, July 18, 1888 in Stone County, Arkansas. Nancy and Obadiah Vinson were the parents of Sarah Jane, Willis James, Roy Jackson, Samuel, Bud Jackson, Callie and Bertha Vinson. Obadiah and Nancy left Arkansas to farm in Texas, settling in Jones County before 1900. Nancy died in Anson, Texas at the age of sixty-one years.
