Dorothea "Dot" Morrison, 93, of Lafayette, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at University Place Health Center, West Lafayette, where she had been a patient since Nov. 19.
She was born Feb. 21, 1915, Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Mary A. Boyce O'Brien. She had resided in Lafayette since 1944.
She attended school in New York, and was a graduate of the Gaines School of Secre tarial Training and Business Administration in New York City.
On Aug. 14, 1941, she married John A. Morrison Jr. in Brooklyn, and he preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1982.
Mrs. Morrison retired in June 1985 from Purdue University after 30 years. She had worked in the School of Agriculture Administration. She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral and Purdue Retirees.
Surviving is a son, Kenneth L. Morrison (wife: Cathy) of Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Jeff Morrison (wife: Pam), Scott Morrison (wife: Anne), Michelle Tomson (husband: Mike), Denise Tilstra (husband: Micheal) and Kyle Morrison; 7 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Patty Morrison.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jack A. Morrison.
