Jacob Tyler Edwards, 10, of Pumping Station Rd., died Saturday, November 29, 2008, in MCV Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lynchburg, November 1, 1998, he was the son of Angie Jamerson Edwards and Russell Junior Edwards both of Appomattox. Jacob was kind, loving, and a hero, but most of all he was a blessing to everyone who knew him. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a 4th grade home school student. In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Savannah Cheyenne (Toota) Edwards of Appomattox; a half-brother, Zack Edwards of Lynchburg; maternal grandmother, Linda Jamerson of Appomattox and paternal grandmother, Ruby Edwards of Amherst. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers,Cecil Wayne Jamerson and Russell Edwards, Sr.; half-brother, Joshua Edwards, and his best buddy, Joshua Thomas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Howard Rosen, Jr. Burial will follow in the Jamerson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7-8:30 pm.
