Charles L. Workman, 67, of Flora, IL died at 7:42 PM Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Clay County Hospital in Flora. He was born January 27, 1941 in Flora to Raymond & Lorine Marie (Green) Workman. He married Betty Trotter on September 15, 1962 in Flora.

Charlie worked for the City of Flora for 31 years retiring in 2003 as an operator and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time as his Trago Lake cabin.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Workman of Flora; son: Charles Leroy Workman of Louisville; 4 grandchildren: Charles Dale Workman & wife Ashley of Louisville, Heather Leann Mulvaney & husband Tyler of Lincoln, Brittani Michelle Workman of Louisville, Jacob Frank of Sailor Springs; 1 great-grandchild: Charles Phillip Workman; 5 brothers: Raymond Workman of Petersburg, FL, Norman Workman & wife Shirley of Flora, Larry Workman & wife Janice of Flora, Carl Workman & wife Ethel of Flora, Wayne Workman & wife Marilyn of Orchardville; 2 sisters: Sheila Shipley of Effingham and Janice Clark of Flora.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister (Dorothy Senters).

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday (Dec 3, 2008) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Clay County Hospice or Clay County Shrine Club and may be received at the funeral home.
