He was married to Nancy Faye Roberts, the daughter of Otha Lee Roberts and Vivian Westerfield Roberts, who was also a DeKalb, Kemper County, MS, native. They were blessed with two children, one daughter and one son.
He died Friday, October 17, 2008, at Riley Hospital in Meridian, Lauderdale County, MS at the age of 55.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at New Hope United Methodist Church. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
