Pfc Vernon G Curtis Services Set Tuesday Prayer services for Pfc Vernon G Curtis 32 formerly of 1710 Cass Street who died of a heart attack in a hospital In France June 8 1945 will be held at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the grave In National Cemetery American Legion Post 5 will conduct the Service Arrangements are being made by Bracey-Walsh Funeral Home. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. F A Curtis, Private Curtis was born and educated in Nashville Prior to entering the service he was an employe of Baird-Ward Printing Company.

Inducted in May 1948, he received his training at Camp Crowder, Mo. and Camp Campbell Tenn. He went overseas in September 1944 with the engineer maintenance company Survivor are a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Pugh of Nashville, two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Davis of Nashville, and Mrs. John Strother of Milwaukee, Wis., three brothers, Bond Curtis of Nashville, Fount Curtis of Milwaukee, and Harry Curtis of Detroit and one granddaughter.
