Born in Florida to the late Thrasher and Bessie Hand, he had lived in Nederland for twenty five years. He was a retired car dealer and owner of Herb's Used Cars in Nederland.
Herb is survived by his beloved wife of fifty eight years, Betty J. Hand. He was the loving father of: Sandi Welch and husband Kenny; Debbie A. Firmin and son-in-law Terry G. Firmin and son-in-law Joe M. Reynolds. He was the devoted grandfather of grandchildren: Stacy Delarosa and husband David, Joey M. Reynolds, Stormy Wright and husband, Jeff, Shelby Firmin, Shayne and Jake Welch and great grandchildren: Drew and Cade Delarosa and Payton Wright.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents and special daughter Gloria J. Reynolds.
