Siddy was the daughter of Jeremiah and Mary Ann (Parson) Williamson. Siddy was granddaughter of Sydna (Siddy) Harmon And Dillard Parson. Sydna Harmon was daughter of (Big) Daniel and Rhoda Harmon Harmon (1st cousins). Sydna Parson her infant daughter (possibly Elizabeth), her parents and siblings, Ephriam, Peggy, and others died in the Typhoid Fever Epidemic Of 1845, in Giles Co., Virginia.

Siddy Williamson married John M. Moore, and their children were Elizabeth, Mary Candus, Hannah (died at about the age of 18 from fever), Sarah Veturia, Francis Leeton, Thomas (Tom), Melvin (died young from accidental discharge of rifle while trying to catch an apple that was tossed to him), and Della. The Moore's also raised grandsons Mose Williamson (Elizabeth) and Keither Pack (Mary).

Siddy Moore was a midwife/healer with considerable knowledge of herbs and natural remedies. She kept a satchel at the ready for when she was called upon by her neighbors and would ride by horseback to their assistance. My grandmother Sarah Veturia Moore Vance when about 5 years old, ran behind her brother, who was chopping wood and received a severe cut on her face from the axe. Large handfuls of coarse salt and alum were applied and her faced was stitched up at home with heavy thread. My grandmother bore the large scar which remained all her life. My grandmother, Sarah Vance, learned a lot about healing from her mother, and I remember how well she knew the plants and the ones to use for home remedies. I only wished I had paid more attention to this knowledge .. Siddy Wickline, Gr-Grand-daughter
