Well-Known Church Worker Is Dead
Mrs. Eliza Tade, well known in Sacramento for her life of well doing in temperance, philandthropical and church circles, died at the home of her son-in-law, George W Lorenz, 1007 I Street, yesterday morning. Despite her advanced age, being in her 79th year, the end came as a shock to the family following a brief illness.
Coming to Sacramento in 1862, Mrs Tade had lived continuously in this city, with the exception of five or six years spent in Nevada. At the time of her death she was an active member of the W.C.T.U., holding one of the offices of the organization. She was also a member of the Baptist church for a number of years.
Among the survivors are her daughter, Mrs. George W. Lorenz; her sons, W.H. , J. E. and Frank Tade and her grandchildren, George B Lorenz, Mildred B. and Laura E. Tade.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
