Mrs. Lucinda Woods, who made her home for the past several years with her son, Chester McDaniel, at Eugene, passed away Wednesday night, Sept. 27, following an illness of two weeks, at the age of 77 years. Mrs. Wood came to Eugene from Rolla. She fell some over a year ago and fractured her hip and had been bedfast since then. She had many friends in the Eugene community.
She is survived by a sister and two brothers and her son and family in Eugene.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.C. Huffman Thursday afternoon, Sept. 28, at the Eugene Christian Church of which she was a member. Burial was in Spring Garden Cemetery.
Note: per her death certificate, she is the daughter of Benjamin A. Brookshire and Catherine Anthony. She was the widow of George W. Woods.
