He was born in Macomb, Ill., the son of Harrison Blaine and Ellen MayAllison Allaman. He married Jule Miller on July 17, 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Jule of Roseville, Ill.; mother, Ellen May Allaman of Roseville, Ill.; one son, Douglas (Brandy) Allaman of Bushnell, Ill.; two daughters, Jacquelyn (Donald) Worthington of Champaign, Ill., and Lori (Chris) Stortzum of Macomb, Ill.; five grandchildren; and one brother, Gail (Jane) Allaman of Dillon, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He graduated Roseville High School in 1962, received a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in 1966 and a master's degree in 1970.
He was a high school teacher for three years and taught at Illinois State University for two years. He returned home to farm in 1971.
He was a member and deacon of the Roseville Christian Church. He was on the Roseville school board for 12 years. He was a member of the Illinois Farm Business Farm Management state and local board and was Swan Township Clerk.
He was awarded Conservation Farm Family of the Year in 1992 and was named Master Farmer by Prairie Farmer in 2008.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at the Roseville Christian Church. Burial will be in Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at Corman Memorial Home, Roseville, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Roseville Christian Church or McDonough District Hospice.
