Mary Nova Hammond, of Elizabeth, Ark., daughter of the late Raymond Lee and Alice Louisa Harbour Foster, was born March 2, 1910, at Elizabeth.
She died Sept. 10, 2005, at Pine Lane Heathcare Center in Mountain Home at the age of 95.
She was united in marriage to Tilford Ernest Hammond on June 17, 1929, at Elizabeth. She spent her working years as a store clerk.
She was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Virginia Billings of Mountain Home; a nephew, Roger Billings, wife, Tammy and children, Brian, Phillip and Cheyenne of Elizabeth. Two nieces, Regina Nicola, husband, Ron and children, Shane and Shannon Eades, of Smithville, Mo., and Merium Eades, husband, Bill, and children, Billy Eugene Jr. and Dalene Odegaard of Lawson, Mo., great-nieces and nephews, Brian Billings, Phillip Billings, Cheyenne Billings, Shane Eades, and wife, Carri, Shannon Eades, Billy Eugene Eades, Jr. and Dalene Odegaard and husband, Lance; great-great-nephews, Caleb Eades, Michael Odegaard and Nicholas Eades; and many other relataives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant brother and three sisters, Ester Nola Scott and two infants.
The funeral service was held Sept. 23 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Elizabeth with Bro. Warren Newman officiating.
Interment was in the Elizabeth Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
Pallbearers were Ron Nicola, Bill Eades, Clifton Foster, Roger Billings, Bill Hodges and J.C. Foster.
