Funeral services for Georgia "Jackie" Hicks, age 88 on Lindale, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 29, 2008 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Fred Morrow officiating. Private interment will be in the Damascus Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors of Lindale.
Mrs. Hicks was born August 6, 1920 in Conway, Arkansas the daughter of the late Jack and Mattie Lou Ham. She had lived in Lindale since 1948 moving from Borger, Texas where she was raised. Mrs. Hicks retired from Tyler Pipe and was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Hicks in 1974.
Mrs. Hicks is survived by her daughter, Johnita Wintters of Red Springs; grandchildren, Rick Bailey and Donna Roberson both of Tyler; 3 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Glen Hicks, Richard Leon Hicks, Mike Hicks, Finis Clinton, Charlie Hicks and Buddy Hicks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
