She was born August 8, 1920 in Whitton to John William and Lina Mae Tankersley Ballow. She was a member of Mabank Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by brothers, J.L., Harlan and Clif; sisters, Faye, Audrey Mae, Iva Nell, Lillie Bell and Joyce; grandson, Mark Brady Brewer; and her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Thomas Dawson "T.D." Brewer, Mabank; sons and daughters-in-law, Foy and Cleo Brewer, Mabank, and Jerry and Deloris Brewer, Chireno; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and George Grant, Canton, and Kathy and Paul Thomas, Arlington; brothers, Bruce Ballow, Moody Ballow and Randy Ballow; sisters, Hilda, Pat and Tina; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
