BIG SPRING - Ray Hightower, 92, died Wednesday in a local hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland with the Rev. Flynn Long officiating, directed by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

Mr. Hightower was born at Frost. He moved to Glasscock County as a young boy with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Hightower, who were pioneer county ranchers.

He lived and ranched in Glasscock County until retiring and moving to Big Spring in 1973.

He had been an active member of First Presbyterian Church and was the widower of Emma Montgomery.

Survivors include two daughters, Ray Jean (Mrs. Russell) Hobbs of Denton and Janet (Mrs. Harry) Middleton of Big Spring; three grandchildren, Candy Brown of Aubrey, Johnny Middleton of Big Spring and Barry Hobbs of Dallas; and eight great-grandchildren.
