Mrs. Mildred Harper Moore, 93, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 3 P.M., Thursday, November 27 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ray Way officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was born March 29, 1915 in Irwin County to the late Henry Brooks and Bessie Johnson Harper. She lived in the community most of her life. Mrs. Moore was former owner/operator of Mildred's Beauty Shop and a former telephone operator for South Eastern Telephone. She was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her sisters, Eleanor Harper of Fitzgerald, Josephine Meeks of Coffee County, Martha Fussell of Wray and Mary Mitchell of Douglas as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Edwin Moore, sister, Margaret Harper and two brothers, Paxton Harper and Louis Johnson.
