Longtime Central Oregon resident Sherry Lee Cunningham, of Madras, died April 22, 2007, at the age of 71.
Mrs. Cunningham was born June 11, 1935, to parents Lloyd and Jean Downs in Redmond. She was a lifetime resident of Central Oregon except for a brief period of time she lived in Portland.
She was employed as a waitress for the J&L Truck Stop for many years. She loved to go to the Oregon Coast where she collected seashells. She also loved to work in her garden and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Michael and Trudy Cunningham of Madras, Chris and Ray Garren of Madras, brothers James and Gary Downs of Redmond; a sister Barbara Addington of Redmond; grandchildren Angie Magnasun of Redmond, Doug Cunningham of Madras, and Bret Cunningham of Bend; great-grandchildren April and Ashley Cunningham of Madras and Trinda Magnasun of Redmond. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son.
A memorial service was held Saturday, May 5, at Bel-Air Colonial Funeral Home in Madras. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Hospice or AIDS Foundation.
