Graduated from BYU with a BS degree in clothing and textiles. Married her childhood sweetheart, Edward Archie Wilson on 16 May 1932 in Coalville, UT; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Arch passed away on 12 February 1969 leaving her a widow for almost 40 years.
She taught her children the difference between being alone and being lonely. A gifted teacher, she began her career in Cleveland, Emery Co. Following her marriage she occasionally taught school in Maesar, Vernal, and American Fork. Being a wife and mother was her first priority. Her life was filled with service to both the living and the dead. Everyone loved her. She was a mentor to dozens; a friend to hundreds; and a Savior on Mt. Zion to thousands. She and her sister Madge co-authored The Martin Harris Story. Later these two sisters were missionary companions in the Hyde Park Family History Library. After living in American Fork for 54 years Belle moved to Legacy Retirement Residence in South Jordan after an unfortunate fall two years ago.
Preceded in death by her siblings: Stella H. Oaks, Grant A. Harris, Madge H. Tuckett, granddaughter Shelly Marie Wilson. Survived by children: Kay and Joyce Wilson; Enid and Donald Bennett; Alice and Christian Benson; Douglas and Diane Wilson; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the American Fork 6th Ward Chapel, 300 North 100 East. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North and on Saturday from 11:45-12:45 p.m. at the Church.
Interment will be at the American Fork City Cemetery.
