Obituary for Thomas Bailey. The Daily Sentinel. Grafton, WV. Feb. 10, 1970.
Abstract--age 90, of Rt. 3, Wickwire Community, died yesterday in the Grafton City Hospital. He was born at Wilson Ridge, Sept. 15, 1879, s/o the late George and Bathsheba Shackelford Bailey. He is survived by three sons, James Ronald, Fairview; George Jackson and Charles A., both of Grafton; one daughter, Mrs. William H. (Olive Rose Kathleen) Gallagher of Fairmont; two brothers, James Bailey of Thornton and Fredrick Bailey of Grafton; two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Keys, Parsons, and Mrs. Guy (Josie) Watkins of Washington, Pa. He was preceded in death by three sons, Claude, John and Howard; and three brothers, Clark, Bill and Odferd, and three sisters, Molly, Nora and Laurie. Mr. Bailey was a retired B&O Railraod employee engineer, retiring in 1944 with 45 years of service. Burial was in the Poe Cemetery (Wickwire Rd.).
