JACKSONVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Katie B. Grimes, age 77, of Bullard, will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at the Elliott Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner's Tyler Cremations and Funeral Services at Bullard with Rev. Roy Thoene officiating. Katie Grimes was born August 7, 1933, in Gallatin, TX, to Charlie and Ola Moore Smith. She had resided in the Bullard-Jacksonville area most of her life. She was a housewife and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She died on May 11,2011 in a Tyler hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond F. Grimes and two brothers, Wylie and Red Smith. She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Ellis of Bullard, Lisa Wisdom of McKinney, and Julia Najm of Plano, two sisters, Rosa Morris of Bullard and Katherine Coleman of Dallas, three brothers, Lewis Smith, James Smith and Jackie Smith all of Bullard, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
