Elijah, a Crawford Co., IN resident, enlisted in Company K, 38th Indiana Infantry on Sept. 18, 1861. He died of consumption (old-style name for tuberculosis) in Nashville, TN on Nov. 16, 1862.Per U.S., Burial Registers, Military Posts and National Cemeteries, 1862-1960, Elijah was a Private, Company K, 38th Ind. I. "Death Not Reported". Buries Section A-1322.
