Paul Chester Pearson, 86, a retired physician and former Warsaw Town Council member, began his general medical practice in Richmond County in 1944. After graduating from the Medical College of Virginia in 1933 and holding an internship at Christ's Hospital in Jersey City, N.J., he practiced medicine in King William County before moving to Warsaw. Dr. Pearson served on the Town Council in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He also had been active in the development of Tidewater Memorial Hospital in Tappahannock, where he was a staff physician. He was active in community groups, including the Masons and the Warsaw Rotary Club, of which he was a charter member. He was a former president of the Mid-Tidewater Medical Society and the Northern Neck Medical Association. He was a life member of the Medical Society of Virginia, the American Medical Association and the Southern Medical Association. He also was a fellow in the Royal Society of Health in Britain. Dr. Pearson was survived by his wife, Virginia, and a daughter, of Warsaw. His funeral was held on Dec 24, 1987 at Warsaw Baptist Church, with burial Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
