HIGHTSTOWN - Patricia A. Applegate, 81, of Hightstown, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007, in the Cranbury Center-Genesis Elder Care facility in Monroe Township. Born in St. Paul, Minn., she was a longtime resident of Hightstown. She retired from Native Lace Inc. of Hightstown. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary, Post 5700 VFW. Wife of the late William (Harry) Applegate and sister of the late Thomas Lidke, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ellen and Jack Conway and Patricia Ann and Jimmy Conover; one son, William Applegate Jr.; two sisters, Marcella Lysy and Susan Lidke; one brother, Donald Lidke; four grandchildren, Michelle Furch, Heidi Conover, Heather Conover and Jimmy Conover Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Samantha and D.J. Furch; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover. Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. [The Trentonian, Weds., 30 May 2007]
